Q: I have a quick launch button on my computer that open a specific file. I don’t know where the actual file is stored since I usually just click on the quick launch. Where is the actual file?
A: Assuming the user profile application data is still there.
- C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Folder\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch - Right click on the quick launch shortcut your looking for and click “Properties”
- Look under the “TARGET” field to locate the actual location of the file.
Notes: If you wish to copy the same quick launch button for a new user, please make sure the target are mapped to the right location.
